During Sony's day-long livestream at E3 this week, Crytek developers Elijah Freeman and Faith Oezbayram showed off their newest game coming to PlayStation VR, Robinson: The Journey. The game was announced back in October, but actual in-game footage hasn't been seen until this week. Using Crytek's CryEngine, the game is almost unbelievably stunning, with smooth graphics and gameplay that uses the platform in a pretty unique way. The gameplay shows off the different dinosaurs players will interact with, the environment they'll be able to explore and the different ways they'll control their character in VR. Although Freeman and Oezbayram didn't have too much information to share about the engine used to make the game, they said that creating a beautiful, fully immersive world was their...

Set in the London of 1918, players will take on the role of doctor Jonathan Reid as he struggles to survive as a vampire without taking lives. Publisher Focus Home Entertainment calls Vampyr a “unique and deeply immersive experience with a strong and engaging narrative steeped in vampire mythology.” The new E3 trailer showing off the Dontnod Entertainment-developed game seems to back that up. The game includes a level-up system that rewards feeding on innocent people with huge amounts of experience points, but not nearly as much for combat. As a doctor and World War I veteran, the player has to decide where the balance is between killing others to keep himself alive in his search for a cure and diving fangs first into his lust for blood. According to the press release, every single life...

Before The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild made its debut at E3 this week, there was a large rumbling online that players would be given the option to play as a female character. The game's producer, Eiji Aonuma, told GameSpot that while they had those conversations as a team about how they could possibly incorporate a female character, they ultimately decided it didn't make sense to do so. Aonuma expanded by saying that if they were going to make a female character the main in Breath of the Wild, it would make more sense to just have Zelda act as the main character. When asked why Nintendo didn't just do that, Aonuma responded by asking what a certain other popular Legend of Zelda character would do. "...if we have princess Zelda as the main character who fights, then what is...

The company said that to celebrate the new game it would be updating the Miitomo store with new apparel and accessories related to the Legend of Zelda series for players to buy. Miitomo launched at the end of March and since then has had trouble holding onto players. Titanfall 2 was only just announced, but Respawn Entertainment has confirmed that all future map pack DLCs will be available for free, according to Games Radar. During E'sA Play event in London last night, Respawn Entertainment's head of development, David Wightman, said they'll be talking more about post-launch content closer to the game's release date but did confirm that all of the modes and maps released would be free of charge. Wightman added that the DLC wouldn't be pay-to-upgrade, either, and said he hated the idea of people spending $60 on a game just to spend more money on smaller DLC packs. Wightman didn't say what the DLC packs would consist of, but said the studio was dedicating to supporting the game and its community post-launch. One of the biggest criticisms Respawn...
